Tänk att vi fick man vara med i Sköna Hem

Last week our home was presented in Sweden's most sold interior decoration magazine , i must admit that I am very proud. It is always nice to get some credits after all the work done, even if you decorate your home for yourself and your family, it is a pleasure to be able to inspire others. A lot of sweat and tears were spilled during our renovation, sleepless nights and heavy work and we are far from finished. But one step at a time , it is also a fact that a house is never finished.
But we got through the roughest period
( sleeping in the basement without shower or electricity for 6 weeks) and here is the result. 4 year after we bought this house we are happy that we where crazy enough to throw ourselves in to an enormous renovation project (without budget) and just thinking that it will work out.
Now we look forward to do our garden and a new atelier.
Have a look at the latest issue of Sköna Hem for more pictures of our house.

And thank you for following our story!

Mallorca so much more than beach

Early spring on Mallorca. Strolling the calm Palma sipping a coffee on a street cafe. Finding wonderful hidden gems in Town. Exploring the food market. Cooking from local products and eating a picnic on the rocks, drawing while the kids are fishing. Taking a day trip on the wooden train from Palma to Soller admiring the inland landscape of the Island. Mallorca is so much more than beach.
A few days away from home with the kids and energy level is refilled.

Flower workshop at home

As you know we are using our house for a lot of different activities,
yesterday started with a Flower Workshop for 5 lovely ladies.
There is something special with flowers, sometimes i miss having a flower shop you quickly forget how tough it is to wake up at 4 in the morning and how tiring it is to work weekends and holidays when you see all the flowers.
Having a workshop every now and then keeps flowers in my life. And I really like it.

We started with cutting the flowers, it is more difficult than you think if you never done it before and more important that you think to make your flower keep as long as possible. We also talked about water temperature and binding. The ladies quickly got a hold of it and created nice arrangements.
The weather was not with us but we got a little bit of spring feeling touching and smelling the first tulips of the year.

Cutting , an art in itself.

The ladies with finished work after a nice morning of creativity.
Thank you for coming!

Now we are redoing the house for a film shoot starting tomorrow.
I love seeing our house transforming and being used for different artistic activities.

Enjoy your day !

A Blue room - the room of my daughter

Time for new colour of my daughters room. She is now eight and wanted a blue room.
We found an old wallpaper, unfortunately not enough for all walls so we decided to only put paper on one wall. With some test pots that I had left from old jobs she painted lamps and her Miffy.
We are far from ready but it starts to take shape.
Now she wants a new ceiling lamp and more blue pillows.
We are also making a little peepshow out of a wine box and an old frame.
I think she really likes to be part of the renovation and by using old things we are succeeding to change the room for nearly no money.

Looking forward to see the result when its all done.

Our favorit place for winter holiday

Sometimes you are just lucky. A few years ago we found THE house where we want to spend our skiing holiday. Not only for skiing but for the pleasure of being in this house.
When we open the door it feels like coming home.
The view is fantastic and the house is full of life and treasures. For me only the kitchen tools would make me come back here every year. The fire places and the flowery Italian sofas is very welcoming in the evening after a day in the snow. This is a place for family time.
It was only a week ago we left and I already want to go back.
I live on my memories and pictures until next time.
